Freeze and unfreeze your account
Stops money leaving instantly, reversible with PIN. When to use it and how to switch it on/off.
Freezing is the fastest way to stop anything moving out when something feels wrong. Takes seconds, completely reversible.
What a freeze does
- Blocks outgoing transactions: transfers, airtime, data, bills all stop.
- Deposits still arrive: money sent to your virtual account keeps crediting.
- Nothing deleted: balance, history, beneficiaries untouched.
How to freeze
- WhatsApp: send
freeze. - Dashboard: Settings → Freeze Account.
- Security email: use the freeze link inside.
How to unfreeze
Dashboard → Settings → Unfreeze Account. Enter your 6-digit PIN.
When to freeze
- Phone lost or stolen.
- Sign-in alert for unknown device/location.
- Someone else had access to your phone/SIM.
- Suspected SIM swap or number takeover attempt.
A freeze is a pause, not a cancellation. Freeze now, take a breath, unfreeze once confident everything is safe.
